Who We Are

African Child Ministry's work in Kenya began in 1996. More than 13,000 children participate in 4 counties. African Child Ministry works in collaboration with child-care institutions and schools to provide children with the opportunity to develop their God given talents and gifts, and become productive members of the society.

What We Do

Social Enterprises

We promote sustainable poverty eradication in rural communities by investing in local entrepreneurs through profitable businesses that includes poultry, dairy, and consumer products.

Family economy

We provide financial literacy training, one-on-one coaching and promote village savings and micro-loans groups.

Education

We provide support through teacher meetings and training program to help vulnerable children in public primary schools attain functional levels of literacy, numeracy and essential life skills.

Food Security

We empower farmers to grow high-value sustainable crops, run kitchen gardens and rear healthy livestock and provide farm input, technical training, crop handling and storage skills and extension services through group support structures.

Health care

We provide tailored interpersonal communication to help mothers at the household-level to manage preventable illnesses and provide referrals to Ministry of Health services as needed; and the opportunity to buy commodities such as soap, bed nets and water purifiers.

0-14 Early Interventions

We provide training to stake holders in child care institutions, and school programs and give opportunity for knowledge sharing for effective early childhood intervention.

Civic & Community Education

Provide personal and community transformation through reflection on lived experiences of individuals and community to empower the Christian community to engage in transformative Civic Education in churches and society.

Seniors' Haven Center

Provide security, comfort, spiritual guidance, counseling and compassionate care and consistently offer unconditional love and high standards of individualized care to the elderly persons.
